Hungarian PM: The coronavirus crisis couldn’t break Hungary’s economy

– The economic restart action plan has been launched – Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán announced during a speech at the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MKIK) on Thursday. He added that the previous action plan developed to protect the Hungarian economy from the fallout of the coronavirus pandemic has succeeded in preserving jobs, its primary goal.

The new action plan for restarting the economy consists of three phases. The first phase began on January 1, with measures like lower VAT on home construction, a home renovation subsidy scheme and the re-introduction of a 13th-month pension.
