"Poland’s position is very clear: Poland is not a part of this war and does not want to be a part of any other war" - the secretary of state in the Chancellery of the President of Poland Marcin Przydacz, said.
On Saturday, in an interview with the French television, the Polish ambassador to France Jan Emeryk Rościszewski, spoke about Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
- If Ukraine does not defend its independence, we will have no choice, we will have no choice but to join the war - Jan Emeryk Rościszewski said. Przydacz categorically denied that Poland would "join" the war. He assessed that Rościszewski's statement was taken out of the wider context. - Poland is not a part of this war and does not want to be a part of any war. We will do everything we can to scare Russia away from Ukraine. As the West does, so do we. Not only Poland, but also the USA, Great Britain and other countries, he said.
The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in France also issued a statement on the matter: it emphasized that the ambassador's statement was "interpreted in isolation from the context in which it was formulated" by some media outlets.
