In the times of the Polish People's Republic (PRL), a journalist, political scientist, and historian was an activist in the anti-communist underground and, since 1987, a member of the Polish-Czechoslovak Solidarity. In 1989, Dr. Grajewski organized protests, including those in defense of Václav Havel.
