"We are impressed by Poland’s efforts to restore the Rule of Law as the backbone of its society. These efforts are decisive. Next week the European Commission will table decisions on EU funds freeing up to €137 billion for Poland" - European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said on Friday in Warsaw. "We waited a while, but we got it! About PLN 600 billion will flow to Poland, these are funds that enable the implementation of the programs" - the Prime Minister's Office announced on social media.

Warsaw has at its disposal a total of €136 billion, comprising €60 billion in post-pandemic aid and €76 billion in cohesion funds, which have been suspended due to concerns regarding the rule of law. After receiving formal approval from the European Commission, the decision must also be endorsed by the member states of the European Union.
