Leaders of UK, Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia met in London for summit about situation in Ukraine. The British Prime Minister Boris Johnson called on leaders of the Visegrad Group Tuesday to develop a reconstruction fund -  "Marshall Plan for Ukraine" - to aid Ukraine following the war.

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said Hungary must stay out of the military conflict unfolding in eastern Europe.

KGHM, the Polish copper giant, has signed a contract with NuScale. As part of the concluded agreement – signed in Washington in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Jacek Sasin and representatives of the American administration – KGHM and NuScale will implement the SMR technology in Poland.

– Russia is pursuing an imperialist expansionist policy, with Vladimir Putin aiming to regain the glory of the old Russian Empire – Marek Kuchciński told in the interview for Mandiner. According to a politician from the ruling party Justice and Justice (PiS) the European Court of Justice has ruled unfairly on the rule of law mechanism.  

The Central Statistical Office (KSH) said Hungarian economic output grew by an annual 7.2 percent in the fourth quarter, bringing full-year growth to 7.1 percent.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán held talks in Budapest on central and eastern Europe’s energy sovereignty and efforts to consolidate the north-south energy corridor with Daniel Obajtek, management board president of the Polish PKN Orlen company, and Zsolt Hernádi, chairman-CEO of the Hungarian MOL Group – the prime minister’s press chief Bertalan Havasi announced.

Liu Shaoang won the 500-meter men's short-distance speed skating competition at the Beijing Winter Olympics on Sunday. He is Hungary's first individual gold medalist at the Winter Games.
